Volvo FL “Chassis Cabine”

The Volvo FL 12t “Chassis (short) Cab” is available in wheelbases of 3250 up to 6500mm. There are 2 types of 4 cylinder D5K engines (154kW/210HP, 177kW/240HP) and 2 types of 6 cylinder D8K engines (184kW/250HP, 206kW/280HP) available. We mention here the 12t class because this is the most delivered application for ThermoVans
Due to the close cooperation with Volvo we can realize the most various solutions for you. We supply and assemble the desired body and Transport Refrigerator unit.

Our standard bodywork (Cool, Cool/Freeze or Freeze version) is of the brand ISONORT. We install a DENSO Transport Refrigeration machine. The specification of these products can be found on the webpage “Products” of this website. Your Volvo dealer will be happy to help you to discuss and select the right solution for you usage.

In the “detailed information” below you will find an overview of some sample versions. Choose your desired version, after which you find indication of the required cooling performance depending on the version and your usage. (Bodyclass, number of door opening per hour, etc.)
Based on the calculated required cooling performace, choose from the advised DENSO refrigeration system.

Entirely dependent on the choice of insulated body. With choice of insulated body we mean the dimensions and insulation value (K-value) of this insulated body. Some examples for your reference as follows:
